Sehar Batra is a director, cinematographer and photographer from India, now based in Los Angeles. She is known for using strong visuals to create nuanced frames and narratives centred around identity and the complexity of the human experience. Sehar completed her BA in Literature and Film Studies at Ashoka University and completed her MFA in Cinematography at the New York Film Academy. Over the years, she has directed and shot many short films, documentaries and music videos, and also crewed for several projects serving as camera assistant and gaffer.
